Change to 136 Bus Terminus in Cardiff

Change to 136 Bus Terminus in Cardiff

From Monday 25th January the 136 will start and finish at Stop GE in Greyfriars Road.  Stagecoach say that this is being introduced to improve punctuality of the 124/136 service.

The 132 appears to be unaffected thus to travel to the rail station a change from 136 to 132 (or a Cardiff Bus) at Whitchurch might be advisable.

Improvements to recycling centres 2016/17

'Improvements' to recycling centres 2016/17

As part of the Council's policy to 'improve' recycling, there will be further closures of recycling centres and a reduction in opening hours.  In addition, it will be necessary to produce evidence of residence in Cardiff.

The Weddal Road site will close when the Lamby Way site has been developed to accommodate the additional cars using the site.

The new arrangements will necessitate a round trip of just under 30 miles and mean that there are two recycling centres in South Cardiff and none in the North.  We are not sure how green this makes recycling!

The Council clearly have mastered the euphemism in describing  a diminution of service as an improvement.
